Market Synopsis

As per the Market Research Future Reports (MRFR), the global flame arrestors market is likely to expand at a 5.59% CAGR during the review period and the market size is estimated to value USD 12.63 billion over the projected year 2022-2030.

Flame arrestors are safety devices designed to prevent the propagation of flames or explosions in certain types of equipment or systems. They play a critical role in mitigating potential hazards in industrial processes involving flammable gases, vapors, or liquids. Flame arrestors are commonly used in various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemical processing, and refining, where flammable materials are handled or stored.

The increasing demand for flame arrestors in the major end-use sector, government rules concerning workplace safety, expansion of the shale gas and tight oil initiatives, and increasing demand for flame protection in systems, ventilation, large storage, pipelines, and tanks are some of the expanding elements which propel the global flame arrestors market 2020. However, market expansion is obstructed because of the monitoring of industrial safety in developing nations.

Industrial News:

In 2021, Santos Ltd., based in Adelaide, Australia, awarded a contract to BW Offshore for the construction, connection, and operation of a Floating Production Storage and Offtake (FPSO) vessel for the development of the Barossa gas-condensate field in the Timor Sea.

The Barossa project, with an estimated investment of USD 3.6 billion, aims to provide a gas supply backfill to the Darwin Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant, which currently relies on gas from the Bayu-Undan field.

The Barossa gas-condensate field is expected to produce both natural gas and condensate. Due to the presence of flammable gases and the need for safety measures, flame arrestors are likely to be employed in the facility. Flame arrestors will play a crucial role in preventing the generation of sparks or flames that could pose fire and explosion hazards during the production and processing of the gas and condensate.

The FPSO vessel will serve as a key component of the offshore production facility, allowing for the processing, storage, and offloading of the produced gas and condensate. This project is significant for Australia's energy industry as it contributes to meeting the gas supply demands for the Darwin LNG plant and supports the continued development of the region's natural resources.
